Mr Ademola O. Adebusuyi started his career in Information Technology (IT) over 24 years ago and during this period has gained experiences both in business management and in IT delivering business goals. He has worked in several domains of IT in the Business Sector which includes but not limited to Service Management, Strategy, Information Security, Risk and Compliance Management, Infrastructure Management, Application Development, Data Communications, cloud computing to mention a few.
He has risen through the ranks in NNPC Corporation and now NNPC limited as a Service Manager, an ITIL practitioner, and a vendor manager. He has proved during his time in Service Management, where he led the charge to document all processes and by so doing was able to oversee an improved delivery of IT services that is fit for purpose. This enabled IT to remove constraints from the daily operations of NNPC business assets, i.e., staff members and allow them to be effective in delivering their tasks and objectives. And this is the whole purpose of IT as a service.
He has managed numerous vendors, Service level agreements and contracts to the benefit of NNPC.
He worked as Deputy Manager Information Security Risk and Compliance Management, where he led the team that oversaw Cyber security across the entire NNPC Limited, with the charge to keep an enterprise view at safeguarding the business objectives of NNPC limited which increasingly relies on technology from the risk associated with the use of such technologies, from crystalizing.
In Infrastructure Operations Management, He has designed, implemented, and supported IT infrastructure across the Enterprise, leading teams that have integrated IT infrastructures of various business units and companies into a universal whole NNPC Enterprise Network.
Totally committed over the years running backend routines and upgrades that has supported NNPC business functions to meet set objectives of the business and applications that support them.
He is vastly experienced in change management as a people’s skills and stakeholder management, leading several IT upgrade projects that were implemented seamlessly and users only experienced the expected service improvement, with no downtime.
He is currently a Deputy Director Information Technology NNPC HMO. A position where in he is tasked to maintain, secure, ensure optimal performance availability of IT services that are required by the business and guarantee that IT enables NNPC HMO deliver on her set business goals.
Ademola is result oriented and follows through on tasks set out to be accomplished and does so seamlessly through people as he is always giving his direct reports the opportunity to learn.
A Go getter who thrives well under pressure as he is able to work with people to refocus and douse whatever the pressure by focusing on the ball rather than the play. Thus enabling a broader view of all manners of play that can come into the mix and align the best set of plays or activities to achieve the set goal without inflicting any pressure on the players.
His ability to break down complex concepts into easily comprehensible fragments, improving the overall knowledge base of his team is an addition to the many strengths of Mr Ademola Adebusuyi.
Mr Ademola Adebusuyi is currently the President of NNPC Multipurpose Cooperative Society (NNPC CMS). A position that he assumed in 2023 after being duly elected into same. His zeal to see positive changes and ensure set goals are met while ensuring a work life balance is maintained, has yielded many benefits to the members of the society. This position also has placed on him a further call to duty as Chairman Board of Directors of Daylight Microfinance Bank, which is one of the investments of the NNPC CMS.
This position as enormous and daunting the challenges before him are has only fuelled his passion to see the Bank take its rightful place in the microfinance sector by putting the requisite persons on the Board, compliance to regulatory rules and providing the required lead for the Banks management within the ambits of the law and regulatory policies.
